onyxcard is an innovative solution to payroll remittance to candidates that have either no bank account or are paid by cheque. It is also the ideal solution to pay all other candidates as it is cheaper than CHAPS and quicker than BACS. Whilst no conventional bank account is necessary, funds can be automatically transferred from an onyxcard account to a conventional bank account if required. onyxcard is a secure payment system for the employer to send either a one off payment or unlimted payments to all assigned employees, candidates or contractors within a matter of seconds.

Available any time 24/7

Due to the bespoke software developed by our scheme Managers, this payment facility is available any time 24/7. The restrictions of the banking system are negated and previous deadlines are now well cushioned. Payslips can also be generated and stored on every employee’s online bank account.

Loyalty programme

onyxcard also has a loyalty programme which can be used as a reward scheme for your employees. Anyone with an onyxcard can join the onyxcard Cashback programme and can shop online at 100’s of stores and earn cash back. It’s the same shops and the same prices, just cash back on your purchases.

This ideal scenario for the employer is completed with a MasterCard® Card available to all employees even if they have just arrived in the country. The candidate can have a personalised card for use across the UK at all the MasterCard outlets within 10 days of application. The onyxcard payroll cards can be issued in the 3 main currencies (£/US$/€) which will mean that there is no loss in terms of the FX position as accounts behind the cards will be in respective currencies.

Account opening and delivery

Account opening and delivery of the MasterCard Card is an extremely quick and simple process, especially if as an employer you have already obtained the required identity ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) information relating to the candidate.
