How it works
1. You apply for your onyxcard Prepaid MasterCard®
onyxcard is open to all UK residents who are 18 years or older and is quick and easy to apply for.
When you apply for an onyxcard, your application is not subject to a credit check.
2. You activate your card
Once you’ve received your onyxcard it has to be activated either by SMS or online.
3. You top up your card
Load money onto your account using one of the available loading options.
4. You use your card
Once your card is activated and money is loaded onto your account you can start using your onyxcard Prepaid MasterCard in store and online at approximately 28 million locations and 1.5 million ATMs worldwide wherever the MasterCard Acceptance Mark is displayed.

Your onyxcard comes with a Safe and Secure Online Banking account which is available 365 days a year, all day, every day. You can view your balance, check and print your statements, make payments and much much more.
